The full VERA lives on your Windows computer. She answers to “Hey Vera,” remembers your time together, watches along with you, and keeps the promises you hand her.
The founder build is being readied for its first testers. There’s no public download yet.
What she does on your PC.
Answers to her name
Say “Hey Vera” and she’s listening. That’s the whole interface.
Remembers your evenings
The moments you share, kept on your PC and raised at the right time.
Watches along
Turn it on and she follows your show or game with you. Turn it off and she stops looking.
Keeps the one thing
Hand her something you can’t drop. She holds it through a restart and returns it once, when it’s due.
Memory you can read
Her memories are plain files on your computer, and every one of them is yours to change or delete.
Quiet by default
She doesn’t chatter or fill your screen with alerts. She speaks when you talk to her, or when something you asked for is due.
What you’llneed.
Tested requirements, including disk space, come with the first release.
- Windows
- Windows 10 or 11
- Sound
- A microphone and speakers. A headset works too.
- Internet
- A steady connection. Her thinking happens with a cloud AI provider.
- An AI account
- Setup connects VERA to an AI provider account. Your invite explains the options and any costs.
- Graphics card
- Optional. An NVIDIA card speeds up her hearing; without one, she uses your processor.
What installing will look like.
- Step 1
Download and unzip.
Save the release and extract the whole folder somewhere short and permanent, like C:\VERA.
- Step 2
Run the installer.
Double-click Install Companion.cmd. It sets up what she needs and checks your microphone and speakers.
- Step 3
Say hello.
Follow the setup guide in your invite to connect her AI account, then say “Hey Vera.”
